Assistance League of Phoenix holiday banquet

I had the honor of speaking at the annual holiday banquet for Assistance League of Phoenix on Dec 4th.

This all-volunteer, national organization has so many facets to it. The Phoenix chapter operates a thrift boutique, they dress children for school with complete new school uniforms (mostly title one schools), along with many other projects for children and newborns including book gifts and teddy bears for emotional support, and more. Thank you, Military Writers Society of America (MWSA), for this wonderful review of CLEAR TO LIFT. 

This review contained one of the most touching things I think I've ever read in a review: "Although her career to date has focused on outdoor ventures and high-altitude rescue specialties, I believe that Wilson is first and foremost a writer. Rather than thinking of her as an adventurous pilot who enjoys writing, I think of her as a writer . . . "

It goes on to say more, but wow. Validation. I am a writer. Which may sound strange. "Of course, you're a writer, Anne. Duh!" But this comment? I don't know. It just really touched me.
